Redwood Summer Two

New lyrics by Darryl Cherney and Robert Parker

Music by Dana Lyons (from the Sea Shepherd song)

(G) So we set (D) up a (C) base (G) camp by a (C) creek at Honey-(D)dew

The (G) locals (D) all (C) love (G) us, they drive (C) by and (D) yell fuck (G) you

But we're (C) all (G) non-(C)vio-(G)lent so we (C) yell back we love (D)you

Then we in-(G)vite (D) them for (C) din-(G)ner and (C) feed them (D)hippie (G)stew

Chorus (same chord progression)

So we hike Headwaters, seems like it never ends

To defend the redwoods and hang out with our friends

To protect life's beauty we drum and practice woo

We're the brave Earth First!ers of Redwood Summer Two

So we missed the drop off the maps they did not match

Then we all got shot at in some rednecks pot patch

Then we reached the dozers locked down without a pause

But the loggers were ready with diamond bladed saws

So we ambushed a convoy of PL logging trucks

We locked down to the axle with Greenpeace saw-proof handcuffs

But the loggers punched us and so we did not stay

Then we all got busted in some ranchers driveway

The we went to Sacramento to give the gov a scare

We locked down to Columbus and dangled in the air

Then we screamed through the hallways with nothing on but mud

Then we went to Todd's rich parents and crammed in their hot tub
